Spring, summer and fall invite you to enjoy all the best New Mexico has to offer. Adventurous? Challenge the rapids of the Rio Grande in a kayak or raft; ride a mountain bike through hundreds of miles of single-track trail; or rock climb in numerous basalt and granite crags. The Carson National Forest has over 400 miles of sparkling mountain streams and a multitude of lakes. Below the ski valley, near Hondo and the Rio Hondo are packed with rainbow trout. The Sawmill Creek has a natural population of cutthroat trout. |
